The Guardian

Dear sweet one we have finally laid you to rest,
Your sensitive soul is not put to the test.
You were sent to protect and guard,
To help us when life gets too hard.

You now sit quietly here on my shoulder,
To guard and guide as life grows colder.
We need to believe you did not die in vain
If you did nothing will be the same.

Marie,
This poem really hits me hard at this time in my life. Not only did my grandfather die, but I found out my Uncle died this morning.
Your poetry is wonderful and filled with so much feeling. I look forward to reading more.

I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. Death is never easy to experience. You may be reading more of my poetry when my book is published.

Hi Marie,
Who is the guardian? I supposed he/she is a loved one that has departed. Anyway, nice to vent your creative energy in poetry. It releases all your pent up emotions. Do write more poems for us to enjoy and empathize with you. God bless you more with His artistic wisdom.

Hi Marie,
This is Princess Heidi again. I enjoyed your poem. I'm about to write my own poem but something happened to us. Please continue to write poems. I will always enjoy reading them. God bless you.
