An Explaination

It seems my last post has sparked some controversy. I guess that is part of being a writer evoking controversy even though no harm was intended. The poem was NOT posted out of any maliciousness or spitefullness on my part. It was posted merely to tell a part of my life.

I am truly sorry however that poeple are angry and hurt by the post. The suggestion was made that I should not post these kinds of things in a public way. I will have to do some thinking on that one.

Hi Marie,
Probably, the only persons who would be offended by your post were your immediate family, including your parents. But to your readers, we understand you and commiserate with you more because of this revelation. It takes courage and a strong desire to break free from an insidious past to make this kind of revelation. Don't mind what others will say. Who doesn't have any skeletons in their closets anyway? Remember, in writing, or in any other human endeavor for that matter, you cannot please all the people all the time. Suffice that there are people who believe in you and your talent; who will appreciate you for who you are, and not for how well you agree with their own preconceived ideas of things.

That was the same complaint of Jlee. She was hurt by the unfair criticisms of some readers. Well let them broil in their own lard.

Thanks for your very inspiring poetry. I love it.

God bless you with all the talents and gifts that He has stored for you in His great storehouse of blessings.

Mel, once again I am encouraged by your posotive outlook on things. You are correct about the people whom were upset and offended by the poem.

I do agree that I cannot please everybody all the time. The reasons I started these blogs was to express myself and release my pain in hopes of FINALLY moving on
with my life.

I am so fortunate and grateful that you have become my friend and reader. There will be more inspiring and posotive poetry to come.

Hey Marie - Never apologize for your pain or healing process.

You write amazing poetry. Keep writing.

Hi Marie,
I'm very sorry, but I'm very much intrigued by your use of the word "posotive." Do you mean positive, or is it another word? I'm very sorry to point this out.

God bless you with all the love, warmth and care of your true friends and loved ones.

Mel, just a little type-o on my part.

HI Marie,

Controversy or not, this is your blog. YOUR journal, place to put your thoughts, feelings, etc. If people don't want to read, they have the option of stepping back from it before continuing on.

Part of your healing process is obviously poetry. If you stop writing, or at least stop putting it in YOUR blog, YOUR healing may be interupted. It is unfair of others to expect that of you.

I hope you continue writing and putting your poetry up.

Take care,
Titania

I didn't find it offending at all.

Dr Deb- Thanks! Unfortunately the person whom it was about did. I have since come to realize that the problem is with THEM and not me.
